Merril Eisenbud's Environmental Radioactivity, now in its third edition, from Academic Press (I think), is a standard reference on its titular topic. It's also a great read: the kind of book one picks up to retrieve a factoid, and ends up finishing the chapter, just because it's so interesting and well-written. Chris Alston ccja@aol.com
