Radiation Effects Engineer Position



Hi RADSAFERs,

	I'm posting this since I got a copy furnished from the contractor hiring
for a NASA support position with UNISYS....

Duties:	  Test and evaluate the phenomena of radiation effects on
spaceflight parts and electronic devices.  Operates and maintains radiation
generating equipment such as Van de Graaff particle accelerators and
associated nuclear electronic measurement instruments.  Compile data from
observations and test results and prepare professional quality reports of
findings.

Experience Required:  Requires at least five years or more of experience in
a radiation effects laboratory.  Must have hands-on working knowledge of
the use and operation of radiation sources and particle accelerators and
have experience in the maintenance and repair of this equipment.  Should be
familiar with Nuclear Regulatory Commission rules and requirements and be
able to demonstrate safety practices in the radiation laboratory.  Must
possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be personal
computer proficient to utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to produce reports
and presentations.  Specific knowledge of radiation damage effects in
integrated circuits is strongly desired.

Salary Range:  $42K-48K
