Draft guidance on clean-up criteria for both Pu-239 and
Am-241 can be found in NUREG-1500 (1.89 and 1.83
pCi/gm respectively). These use the NRC's Predicted Dose
Level for a residential scenario. It corresponds closely with
default RESRAD calculations and is within an order of
magnitude of EPA default RAGS calculations. We have
used these as guidance levels for a couple of clean-ups.
Hope this helps.
