			RADIATION SAFETY OFFICER
			UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY

The University of Kentucky is a comprehensive land grant university, which
includes medical, academic and research facilities.  The Radiation Safety
Officer reports to the Director of Environmental Health and Safety and is
responsible for all aspects of the institution's radiation safety program
including, but not limited to, maintaining licensure and regulatory
compliance, developing and administering radiation safety policies and
procedures, and providing education and training for users and staff.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and five years related
experience, or equivalent.  Master's or higher preferred in health physics,
engineering, chemistry, physics or related area.  Graduate work in health
physics with appropriate board certification or eligibility, plus
substantial related experience is preferred.
