I just received a note that 100,000 pounds equipment will be arriving here
(U. of Nevada, Reno)
from LANL. And 7,000 gallons of transformer oil will follow. It sounds
like a donation(?). Only thing I
heard about this equipment is that it is a large scale plasmatizer
(called EM producer?). This
unit will be used to plasmatize targets in physics lab. The large
transformer will be
used to charge up a large bank of capacitors. Down the road, x-ray lasers
may be used with this unit. I am supposed to inform Non-ionizing Rad.
Safety Com. about this and I don't have much info. about this except what
I have written in this page.
I would like to hear from someone in LANL or any person who may know
anything about this machine. If there are any potential radiation and
other hazards, please list. Thank you.
This is only my opinion...
