Plutonium Safety training -Reply



I have reviewed your document and found it very well put together.

I have the following editorial comments.

1.  After Figure 5 (the paragraph discussing criticality)  After the
sentence that discusses the amount of Pu-239 that will go critical, I
would insert "This can only occur if the Pu is dissolved in water.  The
smallest metallic form of Pu-239 that can go critical is ~8kg".
2.  EO4 - Table 4 appears to be mislabeled.
3.  EO4 - Table 5 appears to be mislabeled.
4.  EO7 - The paragraph on criticality  In the sentence that says "In some
cases, the system cycles, emitting a burst of neutrons about every ten
seconds".  I would change ten to few.
