Re: skin contamination to skin dose assessment



Check out NCRP Report # 111 -DEVELOPING RADIATION EMERGENCY PLANS FOR ACADEMIC, 
MEDICAL OR INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES - PAGE 25  Table 4.3 "Skin Contamination dose 
equivalent rate factors at a depth of 7 mg/cm^2.  Using this table, in order to 
calculate skin dose from an area source on the skin, you must know the average activity 
per unit area (MBq/cm^2) on the skin of a given radionuclide for an assumed time in 
hours.
