Contamination of wounds

I am interested in finding out if anyone has information on the amount of
soil which might be incorporated in a cut or graze as a result of a fall,
and which remains incorporated long term without being removed by the person
or sloughing off in the healing process. My guess of the upper limit for
coral soil/fragments is around 0.05 g. Any information on the likely
distribution of soil masses incorporated as a result of cuts and grazes
arising from falls would also be appreciated.

Replies please to my e-mail address below, unless this is of wider interest.
