Folks, this is the same group trying to hang the resposibilty for breast
cancer on Long Island on Brookhaven National Lab. This Chernobyl/US
leukenmia idea has been promoted for years by Jay Gould, famous in this
area for his BNL accusations and his request for the baby teeth of local
residents (so he can test them for strontium-90, don't you know). The
"Radiation and Public Health Project" dosen't seem to consist of anyone
other than Gould and Mangano.
Some folks by the name of Klema, Shihab-Eldin and WIlson from Harvard Univ.
did a good deconstruction of Gould's Chernobyl/US leukemia theory back in
1989. For those unfamilar with Gould, he's primarily been a voice for the
theories of Ernest Sternglass for many years. It's unfortunate that anyone
can claim to have done valid research and get media attention like this.
