I just spoke to the Canadian supplier of EPD's and he assures me that 
batteries for the EPD's will continue to be available.  Siemens has 
moved to manufacturing smaller quantities of the batteries and there 
is a bit of a shortfall at this time.  However, Siemens will continue 
to produce batteries for the EPD's and the manufacture dates on the 
batteries will be much more recent.
