Just by way of playing devil's advocate, for a moment, and leaving aside the
question of "bioaccumulation", as such, is there not always the potential for
the attainment of an equilibrium state? Then, even if the nuclide were not
accumulated, in the strict sense of the term, a comparable condition could
obtain. The examination of this possibility is a part, I trust, of any
detailed radiological assessment, environmental impact statement, etc.
