Meeting Announcement - 8th Eberline User Conference
The 8th Eberline User Conference will be held August 26 - 29, 1997. The
Waterford III Nuclear Power Plant Health Physics Group is sponsoring this
years meeting to be sited at the ITT Sheraton New Orleans Waterbury
Conference Center in Downtown New Orleans LA.
The Eberline User Group is a unique scientific forum which is open to
all users of Eberline equipment. The meeting allows the participants to get
together in an informal atmosphere to discuss common problems and solutions.
Papers are presented with a wide range of topics relevant to the nuclear
power, DOE, medical and health physics communities.
The Users Group is extremely useful for anyone responsible for Eberline
instrumentation, whether it be for calibration, repair, operation or
regulatory complience. Some of the subjects covered have included: Passive
Internal Monitoring, Laboratory Dual Phosphor filter analysis, Personnel
Monitoring, Laundry and Small Article Monitoring, Scrap/Vehicle monitoring,
Automating Health Physics Data Handling, Electronic Dosimetry, Air Sampling,
General and Special Portable Field Radiation Monitoring Applications, Radon
Discrimination and Repair & Maintanance Issues, to name a few. This Year we
will also be Holding "Break Out" sessions to discuss, in more detail, the
repair, operational and maintanance issues for specific types of
instrumentation such as portable radiation survey instruments, air samplers,
cams, enviromential monitors, portal and personnel contamination monitors,
as well as installed instrumentation.
On Tuesday August 26th, Jim Hesh will once again conduct his very
popular half-day statistics workshop.
