Abstracts for Mobile HPS Meeting

June 7, 1997
Gulf Shores, AL

As President-Elect of the Health Physics Society, I just finished attending
the annual meeting of the Alabama HPS Chapter here in Gulf Shores, AL.

The Alabama Chapter HPS will host the HPS Midyear meeting in Mobile, AL, to
be held February 6-13, 1998. They are planning a great meeting with many
special activities and a great venue for a winter meeting. The subject of
the meeting is very broad: "Good Practices in Health Physics" so that every
area of health physics will be represented.

The call for abstracts was in the April 1997 HPS Newsletter indicating an
early June cutoff for the abstracts. Actually, ABSTRACTS WILL BE ACCEPTED
UNTIL JULY so please consider submitting an abstract following the
instructions in the April HPS Newsletter. Ignore the old due date. Just
about any health physics related abstract will be appropriate, especially
those involving applied health physics. Topics, questions, and answers that
are commonly discussed on RADSAFE would be appropriate for an abstract
submission. The abstract does not have to complicated. Manuscripts for the
proceedings to be given out at the meeting will be due in early November.

Please check the April HPS Newsletter and send in an abstract so that you
special interests in Health Physics are fully represented.
