Re: Waste from medical procedures

HELLO,

WHITE BAG AND RED BAG WASTE ARE ALL TREATED THE SAME. HOWEVER ALL BAGS ARE
TRANSPORTED THROUGH A CALIBRATED SET OF SCINT. DETECTORS (ALANTIC NUCLEAR).
PREVIOUSLY SOME OF THE RED BAG WASTE WERE COMING BACK FROM "BFI" AS
RADIOACTIVE WASTE.FOLLOWING THEIR PICKUP AND PASSING THROUGH THEIR RADIATION
MONITORS. SINCE THEN WE HAVE HAD NOTHING RETURNED AND ISOLATE ABOUT 250
BAGS/YEAR. BAGS THAT ARE DETECTED RADIOACTIVE FROM THE FLOORS ARE STORED TILL
RAD SURVEY INDICATES OKAY FOR RELEASE. RED BAGS GO WHERE RED BAGS GO AND
WHITE WHERE WHITE SHOULD GO.
