Ron and others:

For training and explaining radiation emergencies to firefighters I
highly recommend this NFPA publication:

"Handling Radiation Emergencies", Purington and Patterson, NFPA No.
SPP-4A, ISBN 0-87765-089-6, Lib. of Cong. 76-54461, 1977.
