RE: TVA BFN Fuel Pool Cooling Pump AG-110M

eltrolytic reaction? No way. Talk to your nuke Engineers. Im sure they will lean towards mechanical degradation (wear) of control components which are composed of Cd, In, and Ag. with the silver being about 80%.

Many thanks to all of you who responded to our post regarding high
radiation levels on one of our fuel pool cooling pumps. The cause seems
to be the high Ag-110M content. Based upon your responses the most
likely method fo the Ag-110M accumulation on the pump, is some sort of
eltrolytic reaction. We will be investigating further. I will post any
results that prove worthy.

Again thanks for your information.
