This well written article is exactly what the abstract claims.

The abstract does not claim that this article reviews events of any kind.

Perhaps an article about some timely current events that seem in conflict 
with the various ethical theories could be as well written and more 
controversial than this article. (I'm not going to have the energy.)

Other written works by Kristin Shrader-Frechette have reviewed (then) 
current events and are also well written and enjoyable to read.
