Part-Time Job in Cyclotron Operations



The Brain Imaging Center (BIC) of the Department of Psychiatry and Human
Behavior, University of California, Irvine College of Medicine is looking
for an individual in Southern California with experience operating a
cyclotron or similar type of equipment to operate their cyclotron and
perform maintenance on cyclotron components and targets.   This temporary
position will be part-time in Irvine, California and will involve an early
morning starting time, several days per week.  Starting time and hours of
work each day will vary depending on the needs of the BIC.

The BIC is not looking for a health physics technician, but the cyclotron
operator should be familiar with radiation safety aspects of working with
positron emitters in radiation areas.  The Brain Imaging Center produces
F-18 labeled radiopharmaceuticals for PET studies.
