It's NOT the leakage - its the scatter off the patient.  In cath labs with
the tube under the patient, this can be considerable (not to metnion in an
undesirable area).

30 keV???  Well while the first and even 2nd HVL suggest an effective
energy in about this range ...... by the time it gets all the way through
the apron there is mostly the orignal 80 to 100 kV left!
