    A very simple way and not expensive if you have
a computer near the X-ray room is
to use a geiger like RM- 80 from Aware Electronics . I use it to monitor
X-ray machine
and it can detect Fe-55 X-ray .<6 kev. You can visit http://www.aw-el.com
