Water Tank Activity

Probable source of activity would be scale containing either 226 Radium, 228
Radium, 40 K or a combination of all three, if the tank was used for ground
water storage.

A simple check would be to use a geological survey meter with 3 channels for
U, Th and K to determine which nuclide is present.

If it is the Radium nuclides, I suggest that the curent user of the water be
advised to get the supply checked.
