University HP position available




Full time, permanent position :  Senior Health Physicist

General Purpose:  Perform rad. safety audits of research protocols, work 
practices and areas to insure compliance with pertinent federal, state and 
local regulations. Conduct monitoring and instrument calibration to verify 
safe use of radiation producing equipment and radioactive materials. 
 Conduct a variety of training programs on radiation related topics.

Experience and training:
Accelerator safety and neutron monitoring experience required.
Non ionizing radiation safety and shielding evaluation experience preferred.
Master's degree in Health Physics, Radiological Health or a closely related
  field and 4 years relevant professional level experience OR a combination 
of
  education and experience.

Skills and abilities:
Thorough knowledge of appropriate safety and environmental regulations and
  standards.
Well developed training, skills with good oral and written communication 
skills.
Ability to interact with a large variety of contacts.
