Subject: Nuclear Medicine Symposium
What are the opportunities for improved human health? Every hour
60
Americans die from cancer. Every 20 seconds an American suffers a
heart attack. How can the development of new treatments be
accelerated?
To probe this question, the Nuclear Medicine Research Council of
Richland, WA, is holding a Symposium on September 18 and 19
entitled
"Accelerating Nuclear Medicine Techniques and Treatments." Leading
clinicians will describe recent advances in treating major diseases
with nuclear medicine. Nuclear medicine industry leaders together
with leading medical practitioners will focus on how current
barriers
in isotope supply, pharmaceutical manufacture, regulatory issues,
clinical trial performance and patient treatment can be overcome so
that the promise of improved treatments might be delivered to
patients
sooner.
Further information about the Symposium--including registration
forms--is available on the Nuclear Medicine Research Council web
site:
