The NRC is currently working on revising Subpart H of 10 CFR Part 20 on
Respiratory Protection, a revision of Reg guide 8.15, and NUREG-0041. This work
should be complete within a year. In the meantime because NUREGS are not
requirements you should use what is still correct in the NUREG and ignore
outdated material. ANSI Z88.2-1992 would be the best reference for guidance that
will be coming out from the NRC.
