Disposal Contaminated Meat

The Hudson meat company's recall of 25 million pounds of hamburger meat
made me wonder how they would dispose the contaminated meat after they
collect. I did not see any statement of disposal method. Even if they
collect only one million pound of the contaminated meat, I feel it would
be a difficult task to distroy such amount of meat. I asked around and
noone had any idea. The nutrition dept. of this Uni. is going to find out
and let me know. If anyone is interestedin the isuue, let me know.

I feel that the food irradiation related topics could be used to educate
public. We seemed to have more friends in it than other topics. I have
been very impressed of the Wall Street Journal of their reporting in the
areas of food irradiation (one example). And the it is endorsed by WHO,
UN, ADA and more.

It is a touch issue which potentially involves everyone (except
vegetarians). Who is going to answer to those who die every year (8-10K)?
They did not, do not, and will not have to die in the first place. This is
a topic in which everyone have interest, I believe. I hope we can use the
topic to spread the facts about radiation. M. Jo

This is only my opinion...
