Re: Another clothing issue

In ALL of our labs (carcinogen handling, Biohazard and Radioactive
Materials) we require that pants, skirts and dresses be at least
knee-length. The idea is that their thighs be covered to the knee
if/when they sit on a lab stool, even though the lab coat provides
primary protection. Provided they are this long, skirts and dresses
are permitted. That's how we do it.

I am interested in the discussion of safe clothing for laboratory wear as we
are currently revising our requiremnts. It seems most labs do not allow
shorts under lab coats, but what about dresses (under lab coats)? Are they
allowed in other radiochemistry labs?
