The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Department of Energy, and U.S.
Department of Defense, have jointly issued a Draft document entitled the
Multi-Agency 
Radiation Survey and Site Investigation Manual (MARSSIM) that, is to supersede
NUREG/CR-5849 after it clears comment stage.  In order to review/download
portions
of the MARSSIM, go to the EPA Office of Radiation Protection Program web
pages, in particular, http://www.epa.gov/radiation/cleanup/
