Re: Canadian cancer incidence
I hope that no one has posted an equivalent opinion yet. But, it seems to me
that the "increase" in the incidence of prostate cancer, in the past few
years, has to be due to the widespead use of the PSA test. Ca can now be
detected by biochemical means long before (many years) it might be palpable,
and also before the man dies of something else. The test is also a major
force driving the resurgence of interest in permanent radiotherapeutic seed
implantations. Note that the autopsical evidence is that all men develop
prostate Ca, if they live long enough.
