RE: Endovascular Brachytherapy

We have completed one clinical trial using the P-32 stent as well as other
cardiovascular brachytherapy devices. In fact, we have just completed a
conference here in Washington, DC on Transcather Cardiovascular Therapy
techniques which included a number of papers on different types of
radionuclide sources. Rather than tie up RADSAFE let me know at my e-mail
address what types of information you need and I'll be happy to assist you
as best as I can. With the P-32 sources, most of which are in the sub
microcurie range, safety is not much of a problem. Just regulatory
compliance and working out the qualifications of the attending medical
professional (cardiologist, oncologist, etc.)

Dear Colleagues,

Our cardiac cath laboratory is gearing up to perform this new type of
brachytherapy with P-32 in the near future. Does anyone have any
knowledge of available literature that may discuss or explore the safety
considerations and potential exposures received by the medical staff?
Thank you in advance.
