Re the Rocketdyne study:
I spoke at length with a member of the review and oversight team (whom
I have known for a long time) and he alerted me to the observation
that the workers in question had a good deal of chemical exposure,
particularly to hydrazine (which is used in making rocket fuel), and
that the occupational protocols, especially pre-OSHA, were pretty
primitive. I expect Morgenstern will publish the report in some
refereed journal, but it would be nice to get a pre-publication copy.
I believe judgment should be suspended until the full study is out. I
am disturbed that the executive summary should have been issued to the
usual "radiation fears" fanfare.
