In response to the 55 gallon drum TRU waste characterization question;
Pajarito Scientific Corporation (PSC is out of Los Alamos) makes a drum
counter that can see less than 10 nCi/g of TRU.  This comes out to around
10 g per drum.

We were going to use the system at INEL Pit 9, until that project came to a
screeching halt.

I think PSC has now become British Nuclear Fuels Instruments of America.
