Re[2]: Disposal of Old Radar Tubes

     To all;

     Smoke detectors can be thrown out with the regular trash. Some
     licensees are (or were) required to put on labels which ask the end
     user to return the detector for disposal, but, as was pointed out
     earlier, the end user can do whatever he or she wants with it. In the
     U.S., it is becoming common practice for smoke detector manufacturers
     to charge for disposal.

     smoke detectors should be returned to the manufacturer, not disposed
     as " ordinary" trash
