RE: Nonukes: same discussion
Everybody agrees with your statement that education, truth (the truth is
out there...), transparancy and integrety are the best weapons against
innacurate statements, misinformation and spectacular assumptions.
But seriously can we change human nature ? We feed on fantastic, horror,
death, paranormal, sex, controversies and MONEY. All nuclear related
stories will sell but if you see an article in mass media about food
irradiation, two third of the article will be spent on explaining
radiation hazards, "possible" catastrophies and how Co-60 is "very
radioactive" (whatever that mean !)
Let's put it this way: Science is too boring for most of the people out
there , even on INTERNET ! And the only efficiency of electronic media
is that innacurate reports, comments etc. are diffused to millions of
people in seconds. Look the number of "oups! personnal stuff, wrong
button" even on Radsafe...
On these thoughts, may we all spend well deserved and (rad)safe Holidays
!
