About Radiation is Killing People." Mr. Rockwell has been directly
involved in nuclear power for more than a half century. Early in his
career, Mr. Rockwell particpated in the atomic bomb project at Oak Ridge

National Laboratory. He subsequently joined the Navy Nuclear Propulsion
Program where he became director of the Nuclear Technology Division. He
provided technical direction helping to assure the safe operation of
nuclear-powered naval vessels and the development of the world's first
commercial nuclear power plant at Shippingport, PA. After leaving the
Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program, he set up MPR Associates, an
engineering firm, in Washington, DC. Mr. Rockwell helped develop and
manage the firm for nearly 25 years.
