You might think about some of the more sensitive TLD type dosimeters.  
CaF is quite sensitive.  If you can get over the low energy response 
problem it could work for you.  You might try to contact the Australian 
Radiation Laboratory in Melbourne AU.  They use this for personnel 
dosimetry and could give you some suggestions.
