Just a semi-philosophical remark:

Of course I have not seen that "show". But there must be something wrong
with our society, when topics which are of vital importance for our economy
and our society are treated in "shows", for the benefit of enhancing the
number of spectators of a TV channel, therefore the prize of the seconds
for advertising and the profit of the TV channel. All that nonsense which
is distributed via mass media has only one goal - namely to maximise the
profit of TV and newspapers.

Next philosophical remark:

Do you, radsafers, honestly believe, that public opinion is very much
influenced by the media? We are of course extremely sensitive when we read
or see the horror stories about radioactivity and nuclear power. Is the
general public sensitive? For them it is simply another horror story - like
the deadly dangers of genetically modified food, of irradiated food, the
new Hongkong influenca, where four people died and millions of birds
(poultry) had to be killed, AIDS and BSE etc. etc.

After World War II everybody was happy at least in my country to see
industrialisation, hydroelectric power plants in the most remote areas of
the alps and on the Danube river were cheered by everybody. Smoke from high
stacks was a symbol of progress. Everything has changed to the contrary.
May I draw the conclusion that our standard of living is too high?
Otherwise people would not advocate the "big step back".
