RE: Quarterly limits



Sandy, Last time I looked OSHA still regulated using the quarterly dose
limit system (admittedly I've been out of the country for 9 months).
When they wrote 29 CFR 1910.1096 and 1926.53? they adopted the pre-1992
10 CFR 20 and applied it to all radiation sources, not just Source,
Byproduct and SNM. OSHA will usually not jump on NRCs turf, but has
dinged people for Radon in a tunneling project, and for x-ray equipment.
Its usually not much of an issue if you are running an NRC or agreement
state licensed facility, and following the NRC/Ag. State regs.
