Re: Radioisotope Dispenser

Hi Sue,

I've seen a couple of demonstrations with their device. The one I saw didn't
hold hundreds of millicuries, just the largest standard size of a few of
their radiolabeled compounds. It was limited to Redivue compounds as it
kept the material at ambient temp. It was microcomputer based and kept
records of when and how much material was used. It could also identify
by whom with the use of user codes/passwords. It was fairly pricey which
would limit its utility to large labs. It could also really only be
used for a single compound at a time. My guess is that its limitations
would not make it useful at a university or departmental level, but it
could be handy for your larger/wealthy (read Hughes) labs.
