RE: Environmental-dosimeter weather housings

Bruce:

In Port Hope we use small "birdhouses" to protect our E-PERM monitors
from the environment and found they work very well. We built them out
of wood ourselves (simple and cheap) - it really isn't much work and
anyone who can run a saw and hammer could do it for you. I put
"birdhouses" in quotes because no birds can use them. The "entrance" is
only painted on. It probably isn't an issue for you, but we make them
look like birdhouses in order to reduce the vandalism rate. Believe it
or not, it works.

In Scarborough we have had to go with metal "birdhouses" with locks
which have been bolted to metal posts - the wooden ones just don't last
there.

Let me know if you would like to know more.
