Re: Nuclear Golf

Obviously most HPs are not golfers (but maybe go-fers).
The primary benefit to not losing the ball is not having penalty strokes.
On a risk-benefit balance that clearly justifies making balls readily
detectable. By definition anyone who chases those little white balls long
ago discarded LNT in favor of a very high threshold.
Also not to be overlooked is the ability to extend the playing day,
particularly if the balls are hot enough that the Cherenkov glow helps on
the putting green.
This of course falls under the Atoms for Peace program.

P.S. Ear mounted chirpers are to be prefered so as not to disturb your
playing partners.

Those not among the tribe may not realize that a major benefit of the end
of the cold war was the massive availability of titanium for critical uses
like golf clubs. If the time comes that the government needs an emergency
supply there will probably be a revolution.
