In order to provide input data for atmospheric transport calculations, Rn
exhalation from our mine tailings must be measured accurately.  Accurate
measurement through "accumulator" methods appears impossible - if a
container is inverted on the exhaling surface the "free" exhalation rate is
perturbed.

What can be done to obtain low-cost accurate results?
Is the perturbation negligible for all accumulator volumes?
