As a follow-up to this post I have received the minutes of the last meeting of 
the Advisory Committee on the Medical Use of Isotopes(ACMUI).  This group, when 
they met last September, had requested that "staff consider appointing a 
Radiation Safety Officer, with health physics experience, to the ACMUI at the 
next earliest opportunity....staff verbally requested that the Health Physics 
Society provide an individual .."

Does anyone know if this request was acted on by the HPS and if so who was 
appointed?
