Request suggestions in handling Ra-226 contaminated soil

We are preparing to receive about 300 pounds of soil contaminated with
Radium-226. It is expected to have about 70 pCi/gm of radium. What are
issues that I
should be concerned regarding this soil? I would like to make sure that I am
not missing anything in handling this project. I would appreciate to hear
from everyone who have experience in this area. Only wet soil will be
handled
in this study (30-40 pounds at a time) and no hazardous chemicals are
involved. Remaining soil (dry soil) will be
stored in metal drum in a closed room. The lab. where this research
will take place has not been tested for radon. Thank you in advance. I
will appreciate evryone's input. M. Jo
