RE: cnn news - Sellafield Leak

This story refers to pigeons found to be active after a cull on the
Sellafield site. This is a new twist on an old, old story. In the days
when Sellafield was called Windscale the first ponds for the storage of
spent fuel were built without roofs. Seagulls were often seen swimming
on the surface of the water. Their excreta was often found to be active
especially on site road surveys. Its bad enough for a gull to s*1t on
you from a great height, but when its radioactive as well...!
