Penn State University, University Park, PA  (State College, PA)  has an
opening for a  Health Physics Specialist in the Department of Environmental
Health and Safety, University Safety

Job Description:	      APPLICATION DEADLINE::> 2/25/98

Responsible for conducting contamination surveys of radioisotope
laboratories, x-ray machines, radiation sources, a  nuclear reactor, and
related equipment, pickup and process radioactive waste,   Position
requires knowledge of the safe handling of radioactive material,
radioactive waste, and the use of radiation detection equipment.  Requires
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent; plus three months to one year of
work-related experience.  Good communication skills and computer use in a
wide range of applications is required.  Provide salary requirements.
