Seeking Consultant



Radsafers,

We are seeking a radiation safety consultant on a full-time, temporary
basis to review a radiation safety program and assist the staff in assuring
a high-quality, compliant radionuclide, and x-ray radiation safety program.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

1.  Multiple years' experience as the primary RSO for:

· A US Agreement State or NRC license for a radiation safety program
including a variety of radionuclides and uses, multiple authorized users,
and a substantial number of badged, trained radiation workers.

· x-ray safety

2.  Excellent worker radiation safety training skills.

3.  Excellent written and oral communication skills, good computer skills.

4.  Able to work full-time on an extended assignment in the greater
Washington, DC area, as necessary.

5.  Willing to work cooperatively with existing staff.  Must also be able
to work effectively without close supervision.

6.  No conflicts of interest.

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

1.  Experience as RSO for a company producing devices containing
radioactive material and/or  x-ray sources.

2.  Experience working for a regulatory agency in the SS&D or x-ray product
evaluation area helpful.  Experience with AECB helpful.

3.  Experience setting up a multiple-level program for worker radiation
safety training (initial and refresher).

4.  Laser safety experience.

5.  Relevant academic degrees &/or certification.
