Draft New Ionising Radiation Regulations for the UK

Hi All

For those of you interested in how other folks implement radiation
safety stuff (outside of the USA), the British government via it's
Health & Safety Executive has just published on the internet the full
text of it's Proposals for revised Ionising Radiations Regulations and
Approved Code of Practice. To become law, after a consultation process,
in 2000.

This is the UK response to European Union Council Directive
96/29/Euratom(a) laying down basic safety standards for the protection
of the health of workers and the general public against the dangers
arising from ionising radiation (basically the EU response to, and
implementation of, ICRP 60 recommendations).

Be warned it's rather long!
