RE: Radwaste software

Up until this year, we had been using a program written in house. We
were continuously getting hits from QA, mainly in software control. One
problem was the code was written in fortran and the part 61 data was
stored in a data table that had to be edited directly. Needless to say,
it was cheaper to go with the WMG software than to continue to respond
to QA audits. We were also spending a great deal of time with NRC,
INPO, QA explaining how our software worked and comparing it to WMG
outputs.
