uranium in hair

     I remember that Noel Savignac's PhD dissertation at Colorado State 
     University was on the topic of whiskers as a biological dose indicator 
     for uranium miners.  The dissertation dates back to the mid 1970's.  
     Maybe it contains some information that would be useful to you.
