Radiation Safety Technician Position
Saint Louis University's Office of Environmental Safety is seeking an individual to fill a Radiation Safety Technician opening. This individual will perform a variety of health physics related tasks including processing and delivery of incoming radioactive shipments, performance of research laboratory inspections, and some technical measurements. This position will also provide support for the radioactive waste storage and disposal program, provide 24 hour availability for radioactive spills, and will include driving the Office of Environmental Safety truck for transporting radioactive materials.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: One to two years of college with course work in the physical sciences is required. A bachelors degree with course work in mathematics, nuclear physics, instrumentation and other radiation safety related topics is preferred. Two years of experience in a radiation safety related position or research laboratory is required.
